Short version: Top Cookware Brands earns affiliate commissions when you buy through some of our links, at no extra cost to you. Those commissions never change which products we recommend or how we rank them.

We believe you should know exactly how a review site pays its bills, because that’s the only way to judge whether its advice is trustworthy. Here’s ours, in plain terms.

Affiliate commissions

Most of our income comes from affiliate links. When you click a link to a retailer (such as Amazon or a brand’s own store) and buy something, we may earn a small commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway — the commission comes from the retailer’s margin, not your wallet.

We use affiliate links because they let us keep our content free to read and free of intrusive advertising.

What commissions do not do

  • They do not determine which products we recommend.
  • They do not move a product up or down our rankings.
  • They do not buy a brand a place on a “best” list.
  • They do not stop us from telling you when a popular product isn’t worth it.

Our picks are based solely on the criteria in our review methodology: heat performance, build quality, durability, stove compatibility, ease of use, value, and honest fit. If the best value pick pays us nothing and the premium pick pays more, the value pick still wins the recommendation when it’s the right call.

Why you can trust this

A recommendation only has value if it’s honest. If we steered you toward worse cookware for a bigger commission, you’d stop trusting us — and the whole site would be worthless. Our long-term interest is exactly aligned with yours: recommend the right cookware, and be upfront about tradeoffs.

That’s also why we tell you to confirm current prices and availability on the retailer’s page before buying, and why we add a “last updated” date to our major pages.
