  1. Excellent skillets at a good price Years ago, I bought a few anodized Calphalon pans, was disappointed, and I’ve avoided Calphalon products since. I finally purchased these about six months ago based on the strong reviews and reasonable price. I’ve used the 12-inch skillet several times a week, the smaller skillet less often. I’m very pleased by their even heating, nonstick performance, and durability.   2. Why did I wait so long to buy these seemingly perfect pans! I’ve been using a set of Calphalon traditional hard-anodized cookware for 35 years. When cared for properly, they perform well, and just don’t wear out. After that long, the cooking surfaces were well seasoned so I didn’t feel the need for the non-stick coating until I tried to clean up the outside of the frying pan and created an ugly mess.   3. These worked great for the first 8 or 9 months These worked great for the first 8 or 9 months, but slowly seem to have given up the main reason I got them, non stick. They are still OK, but not near as nice as when first purchased. They get used a lot, like probably 5 days a week on average, and do go into a dishwasher for cleaning, so maybe that is why.
