Replacement Lid Knobs for Revere Ware Lids (two knobs)

These are replacement lid knobs for Revere Ware lids. They fit lids with knobs that appear the same. These parts are newly manufactured and are made to look and work just like original Revere Ware knob.

Material: Bakelite, brass

Includes: Bakelite knob with brass screw insert. The screw insert is the female part inside the knob. This knob does NOT come with a separate screw as all Revere Ware lids have a screw stud attached on them. If you want to use this knob with another type of lid that does not have a built in screw stud, you will need to purchase an 8/32 (stainless or brass) screw separately and cut it to the proper size.

Measurements: 1.7 in (43 mm) diameter, 0.7 in (18 mm) tall.

Fits: All Revere Ware lids, vintage era and newer that have a similar looking knob. This knob may not fit Revere Ware lid styles that have a different looking knob.

Replaces: The part was called “Bakelite Cover Knob” and the original Revere number for this part was 2677. It was also referred to as part no. 625.

Bakelite notes

Over-tightening the knobs may cause the Bakelite to crack. Be gentle.

Bakelite is generally not oven safe.

Bakelite will be dulled by washing in a dishwasher.

In this listing we sell the knobs in pairs to reduce the shipping cost per item.

Troubleshooting

If you see something like an eraser head instead of a screw on your lid, try unscrewing it with pliers to expose the screw. This is the screw insert from the old knob.

  1. but it looked pretty close, so I took a chance with these I bought this and a set of dutch oven handles to restore an old dutch oven of my mom’s. We weren’t sure if hers is Revere or not, but it looked pretty close, so I took a chance with these. The Revere side handles fit fine, but this lid handle didn’t. The stud on her dutch oven lid seems to be 3/16″, not 8-32.I still gave this item 5 stars because it DOES look pretty good and is solid Bakelite, not some hollow plastic stuff. So I took one of these lid handles to my workbench and…

  2. High Quality Knobs These knobs are not made by Revere but are nearly identical to those originally provided. Finish is smooth and shiny, with no mold lines. For our lids, the threaded brass insert was recessed too far to fully mate with the short stud on the lid. A few minutes in my husband’s lathe to trim 0.080 from the outer bakelite portion of the knob allowed it to screw on perfectly and still give enough of the knob to remove the lid without burning my fingers. This modification could be done with…
