All-Clad 42025 Stainless Steel 3-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe Sauce Pan with Porcelain Double Boiler and Cookware Lid, 2-Quart, Silver

Expertly melt chocolate, whisk up egg-based sauces, or keep gravy warm with this All-Clad Stainless 42025 2-Quart sauce pan with double boiler. Its porcelain insert nests inside the saucepan, creating indirect heat—perfect for foods that have a tendency to seize or separate over direct heat. The saucepan can also be used on its own to reheat, cook, or make sauces. All-Clad’s Stainless 3-ply cookware features a thick-gauge aluminum core that attracts heat fast, while the addition of stainless steel ensures even heat distribution for consistent results across the entire cooking surface, all the way to the rim. Even more, its stainless-steel interior with a starburst finish offers natural stick resistance, letting you know when food is ready to release, and it won’t react with ingredients, so there’s no risk of food picking up a metallic taste. Made in the USA, this stainless-steel cookware offers warp-resistant strength and dishwasher-safe convenience, plus it can be used on any cooktop, including induction. Discover what it means to cook with All-Clad’s most popular cookware collection–All-Clad Stainless is a classic choice for anyone who loves to cook.

  1. a ceramic container for the chocolate is best for heat maintenance while working Since I’m new to working confection projects, but I suspected a decent double boiler was needed, I started a bit of research and looking on-line: Learned that, although somewhat heavy, a ceramic container for the chocolate is best for heat maintenance while working. This was the only one I could find, decided the $$ could be worth it in the long run. All I can say is that my decision to purchase this unit – top of the line compared to others noted – was absolutely the correct decision hands…

  2. First Rate Double Boiler; Pudding Maker for Toddlers and Seniors As an ‘Old Cook’ I have had to adapt to ‘new tricks.’ I have owned ‘a ton’ of All-Clad products and hoped to keep them forever. Meanwhile, we have three-year-old ‘grand-twins’ who love Grandma’s arrowroot-thickened puddings. So do Grandma and so do I! I shopped Amazon and elsewhere and paid some attention to pricing…

  3. A beautiful piece of kitchen equipment I’ve been wanting a double boiler for quite some time and finally took the plunge- I’m not disappointed. The piece came in beautiful condition and carefully packaged. The wall of the stainless steel base and the porcelain insert are both very thick- even the lid is heavy! The handles are solid and riveted to the body of the pan- very solid construction.I was hemming and hawing over the price ($180 for the porcelain double boiler vs. $50 for an average stainless steel double boiler)…
